Finally, after about a year and a half, I rebuilt the spare 700r4 transmission that I picked up for my truck. I already knew that the 3/4 in truck was on it's way out, so the tuning that I had done when I converted my truck to TBI was pretty much around a crappy transmission.

In any case, this rebuild was my first and as much as I wanted to hope that it'd go perfectly, it did not. I made a very avoidable mistake which cost me having to pull the valve body out. Problem I had was 4th was not engaging.

One thing I learned real quick while searching the net for info, is that A LOT of people don't seem to know the difference between TCC lockup and 4th/overdrive.

Turns out that the one of the valves in the 3-4 relay valve was in backwards.

But now all is good and the tuning starts over again!
