    Tuner Pro XDF 1999-2000 F Body + Y Body

Been working on this for awhile now. It is still a work in progress. Checksums seem to be good. Just have not had a chance to test on a vehicle yet. Use at your own risk. Let me know if something does not work.

    Hi,

I just checked a .BIN i have for 1290003 and the VATS is reporting its off with your XDF, but EFI Live says its on class2.
Also a lot of the values on scalars is wrong too.
First example I can see is Fan type =77 and everything after that =0

9360361 (1999) and 9381344 (2000) have their respective parameters at the same hex address. 1290003 is an EFILive COS for 12225074 (used by Holden from 2001 through 2004), and is completely different.

The XDF may support 9360361 and 9381344, but cannot support 1290003.

Corrected supported OS info. I read some bad info. Can anyone confirm that the xdf will work with the 1999-2001 LS1 Holden .bin file. I could not find one.

If you based your work on the XDF on 9360361 and 9381344 (which are essentially the same), then these are the only two operating systems that are compatible with your XDF.

As far as your question about 1999 to 2001 Holden operating systems, these used several operating systems, and your XDF is only compatible with 9360361 and 9381344.

I did base it on those OS's. The reason I ask about the Holden cars is Tuner CATS states that there definition file for the 1999-2001 LS1 cars also works with 1999-2001 Holden. They are not specific on what models. Most likely LS1 and the same OS numbers.

When working with, or creating an XDF, it is more accurate to think in terms of the operating system, rather than just the vehicle.

When it comes to Holden, sometimes they used the same operating system as North American vehicles, and sometimes they did their own thing.

Some 2000 Holdens used operating system 9381344, which should be compatible with your XDF.

Yeah, so far I've had a couple of weird OS's from Holden PCMs.
I've now got a Holden LS1 MAFless tune with COS3 1290003 unlocked that I'll post up this afternoon.
I wish I had the XDF for this one as at the moment I was told it had VATS removed but when I loaded the .BIN in EFI Live v7.5 it said VATS was still on Class-2, plus its for a manual and I need an Auto 4L60E.

I don't suppose anyone is able to modify it and send back a copy with the changes once I upload?

That's not an easy task. I had to find certain parameters in this xdf that were not in tuner cats but are in other tuner software. Lot of it is trial and error. Might be easier to just buy efi live or pay someone to do it.

    Very true.

Writing a good quality XDF takes hundreds of hours of work.

I don't know why you would choose to run an EFILive COS, as you can't adjust any parameters using Tunerpro without a matching XDF.

Post the bin if you want. I can swap in the auto trans segments and disable VATS.

    Hey LRT.

    Here it is.
If you're able to remove VATS, segment swap the 4L60E transmission in and maybe even set the diff ratio to 2.73 and maybe set the bank assignments to SBC order instead of LS1 that would be the best birthday present ever! :)
But even just the first 2 would be awesome and get me in the zone for starting the car up.

    Thanks.

Attached is the BIN that you posted, which has been converted to a 4L60E (from a 6 speed manual), VATS has been disabled, and the Cylinder Bank Assignments altered as per EFI Connections instructions for use with a SBC.

There is a bit more to it than that. You would need your gear ratio and tire diameter to calculate VSS and TOSS pulses. Then you would need to adjust a couple of dozen transmission tables (shift and TCC).

    Legendary!

Thanks mate. I'll try it out now.
Gear ratio is 2.73 with 225/60/15" wheels, but I'll get an exact measurement. I can give you the .BIN file of the car the transmission was out of if you can just swap those in which would be fine.
If I don't get this OS working I'll go back to the other OS, and mayeb I can throw you a few bucks through paypal just to set up the basics so I can get it to a shop to dyno tune it? :)
