So I've got a couple questions regarding ALDLDroid. I recently purchased the bluetooth OBDI adapter and the ALDLDroid app for my tablet. I have tested it in a 1992 Chevy K1500 with a 16146299 ECM and $99.adx with no issues. I then tried to hook it up to my 1993 Chevy K1500 with a 16168625 ECM and A201_$E6_TP5_ v250.adx and am receiving a consistent error - 'Incorrect response length from ECU (5 vs 72)'.

I have not once been able to get a reading on that truck thru the app. I even went out to a junk yard and grab another 16168625 ECM thinking mine was the issue, but am still getting the same issue.

I would like to get the app going on the truck because I am trying to troubleshoot an issue with it running. For some reason, the truck has just recently started surging like mad at idle, and when you shift it into any gear, it has basically no power. I thought a bad ECM might be tied to both issues, but I proved myself wrong after putting another one in.

I was wondering if maybe the adx I'm using for that truck is bad and if there is another one I should be trying. Does anyone have any experience with this error and/or know how to fix it?

One more question I also have. I've noticed the $E6 file has a lot more options in ALDLDroid than the $99 does. Is there any issues if I hook up one of my 16168625 ECMs in my 1992 to be able to utilize all of those features in that truck?

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks!
