I know this has been answered but I can't find it in a search.will a 8k pulse vss. work with a 7747.This is what aftermarket spedo calls for.if so can I splice to both with out interfering with my 7747 signal?

It probably depends on what you need it to do. I've ran a 4k VSS with some success (no DRAC), but I think I was getting close to the limits of being able to properly control the 700r4 lockup. If you're not controlling lockup, it might work for you, but you'd be better off with a 2k (Painless or JTR are sources, but JTR can be VERY slow). I would think an aftermarket speedo would work with 2k, 4k or 8k (unless it's a Dolphin, they're finicky).

The 8 pulse signal is too high for the ecm to read normally. Depending on what the speedometer needs for a signal, you could get a 2 pulse VSS and a "4 out buffer" from a TBI Camaro / Firebird or Caprice. This would produce the ECM and Speedo signals for you.
