TunerPro XDF and ADX lookup Project

Since we have been looking for odd information lately and getting cars we are really not sure what ALDL file goes to what body? I thought we could have a TunerPro Lookup!
Simalar to the BCC lookup for bins. BTW we are working on a online version of this to find bins!

I found half the information already done in excel for Moates products so we have a pretty good start of masks matched to cars from both TunerPro and TunerCat website information. I added columns for ads, adx, xdf and ALDL information we need to develope new ADX files.

This is a work in progress but should be a must for people who don't even know what mask or ALDL file they need to start.

Anyone who would like to add, help yourself and post up the updated version. Questions, comments and sugestions?

EDIT: Removed origanal... Latest edition can be found at this link:

Well here's V2. Got a lot more work to do before it's complete but want some feedback if layout will work?

Well, 10 hours later I have every xdf I have listed on this look up... 105 xdf files 82 with info to vehicles. Not sure about the rest?

And i thought our GM ECM Information forum was pretty complete, but only 45 threads... I also updated each thread so they all have vehicle information now.

Here's the latest TunerPro Look up XDF and ADX file...

    I didn't know that? What's the issue?

I've been leaving ads files up in threads because a lot of them have not been imported and saved as adx then some have issues...

I will split up your V4 stuff and add it to each section! And the Look Up. Thanks!

Not as many files in V4 as V5? One I see missing is Advanced $31 v200.xdf? Not sure if the rest are there?

Nope, not as many. I didn't do an xdf for $31 in V4. The trans ads for $E6 is too large for V4 and not included. Also, there is no trans ads for $0E/$31 either.

    OK!

I added those files to all the PCM information threads.

What about the XDF? Will TPV4 not handle the TPV5 v250 xdf that are already there?

Because of your information I changed the name of that row to TunerPro V4

Good question! I'm not sure, seems like there was some differences going from V4 to V5, but I was working with beta versions of V5, those problems may not exist now. I've never tried going backward though, I'm sure though that V4 won't know what to do with the history tables, at least. I'll give it a try this weekend and see what happens.

Well I got all the V4 ads files in! What I'm wondering is if I need to add the V4 xdf files? The V5 xdf files are already there for all your defs

    Thanks!

I don't think the V5 xdf will work with V4. I will give it a try this weekend.

I wound-up with some time this morning, so thought I would give this a try.

The v5 xdf opens right-up in v4, but lots of thing aren't displayed correctly. Such as; blank separators all say "New Constant", "New Flag", etc.; words are spelled wrong; and the "categories" don't work at all. I didn't try to modify a bin. My conclusion is that a xdf is not compatible with v4 once it has been modified and saved with v5.

Sorry for the confusion last night, I was getting very sleepy, history tables have nothing to do with the xdf.

Your XDFs are the only one's that could be picked as an XDF for TPV4 because you have TP4 in them. Since TPV4 to TPV5 did not change the extension XDF there is no way for anyone to know if the XDF will display or work correctly? When you open/Import and ADS you are prompted to save as an ADX with same name so I would say most ads files are still safe and usable.

But if anyone has opened a TP4 XDF file and added to it or renamed and saved it in TP5, it is now not compatible with TP4... which is probably most XDF on this site. And no way to tell unless an expert opened it in notepad and looked.

So as of now the only TPV4 XDF files we know are safe and usable are the ones you supplied above named v200 and most likely all ADS files.

In conclusion I don't think I'll be adding TunerPro V4 XDF to the lookup, because files are likely corrupt, and everyone that has TPV4 and still uses it should keep there files safe.

Hopefully everyone updates to TPV5! It is a huge improvement, but TPV4 is still available at TP website with a last release date of 3/2008

EDIT Last TunerPro Look up for the month is available in first post!
