    1227727 Questions

Been reading that book on my free time turning out like its a good book. So I will try and go to the yard and snag a 7727 just for a test subject just so I have something in my hands I also have the aldl box from moates and both cables just in case. Looking at thishttp://support.moates.net/2009/05/07...guide-read-me/ there is no listing for the 7727 what would I have to do to the ecu to be able to tune it?

So rading threw some of the notes it in
    Applications:
    1988-1989 2.8L V6 MPFI
    1989-1993 3.1L V6 MPFI
    1989-1990 3.1L MPFI Turbo
    1990-1991 5.7L V8 TPI

    and can run
    Code masks:
    $A1
    $8F

Now dose this mean that all the outputs and inputs are there. For instance I can use the ecu to run tpi or mpfi just by changing the mask? Or a mpfi ecu only for mpfi and tpi only for tpi? The gm tuning is mind boggling to me in the honda world all the ecus are the same but some have extra outputs and inputs that's about it the bins are all about the same to with same fuel and ignition locations.

TPI and MPFI are the same EFI system. Just TPI have a Tuned Port Intake, it is still MPFI.

1227727 is a very versitle ECM and has been used for many cars with many masks like $8D and $A1 etc... Look through the ECM information section and you will find the 1227727 is a weather Proof 1227730. Differant plugs on ECM but bins from one run in the other.

    Yo'll find lot's of 1227727 here:

If your going to tune that ECM or need to change things for aconversion? Moates has an excellent adapter, plug it in, plug Memcal back in and slip in a new chip that can erase and write as many times as you want. No UV light. No cutting up and soldering Memcals.
