Is anyone else having issues downloading Steve's programs?

I finally managed to test the program on running engine and it is amazing.
    The connection is really stable.
You can actually data log during cranking, just like the gm oem tool.

A big thanks to Steveo for all the hard work.

    Steveo,

Thanks for a great free program, it worked great flashing my caprice ECU in my RX7. It seems like the connectivity issue only occurs if you have the dash and other ALDL circuits hooked up. I had no issues with my barebones set up

yeah, its all about the extra devices on the bus

i have an exceptional document on aldl communication that could result in perfect stability even with caddies etc, i hope to find some time to test it out

    Hi steveo,

Is there way to express following equation to eehack def file.
I want to log maf frequency converted to maf column selection.

    {$[XXXX]-$5D0}*2=$[YY ZZ]

    XXXX= raw maf freq
    YY = MAF column number
ZZ = 1d lookup pointer between the selected cell and next cell

    Idle Stabilization via PE question

Following Steveo's Idle Stabilization advice, I loaded a tune that forces PE at idle (which works wonderfully at around 14:1 commanded, on E0 BTW).
Success perhaps, but I'm concerned that while at 0% TPS, both PE(WOT) and Closed Loop indicators are green... but BLM is gray.
This is weird, but is it anything to worry about? Is there something I should be adjusting that kills CL altogether?
I've put the tune back to a version that allows CL idle for now, but it just does not purr and tip-in as nicely as my little PE idle.
I'll keep it to the simple question for now but can load a screen shot of the pertinent table settings, and actual BIN and logs of course.

    Particulars:
95 Impala SS, open airbox & resonator delete pipe, Borla ex. w/stock manifolds and cats, mild Comp cam (XR258HR-12) but enough to have caused surgy idle with CL, trims very close to 128s all around after recharacterizing the MAF tables.

    Thanks to all in advance.

I see 93 kp baro on the log.
What is your altitude. I ask because there is alot of baro correction to fuel tables and they might skew your tune at lower altitudes.

If you want to run an open loop at idle, you can try my patch.

normal. in power enrichment it uses closed loop trim memory. thats what the blm locker patch is all about, to force 128 trims while in pe so your pe calcs are all based on a constant

    I'm at ~2700MSL, so that's a typical baro here.
Same elevation at our local 1320, Firebird Raceway in Emmett ID. 15.3ET, 94mph on a warm night in the high desert, with the new cam, not bad for a big girl with 98K on the clock.
Same patch as in EEHack to lock BLM at idle PE?

Ah, I get it, thank you Steveo. I'm indeed using the dandy BLM locker.
So then, I'm gonna load that sucker back in and go on blissfully with surge-free idle life.

I was glad to learn by brave experimentation that the PE AFR Corr by RPM table allows a number less than 1.0 (Equivalence ratio) without exploding, so that when combined with my generous PE by ECT table entries I can get ~14:1 at idle PE when the ECT is around the 92-104C cells (14.7/(1.102+0.941-1)). While the engine is warming up, the resulting commanded AFR is numerically seemingly a little fat due to higher EQs for lower ECTs, but it does not chuggle or anything so I'm leaving the PE by ECT alone.

Very much appreciate being able to tap you guys who live and breathe and dream in this stuff. I'll look fwd to gaining a 10th of that knowledge.
    Thank you!

Here's what my PE tables look like for my version of PE at Idle. I'm open to suggestions if this seems odd, but it did run very well, much smoother than CL + all sorts of attenuation of things like CORRCL Airflow % and O2 mV error and base idle RPM increases.

NOT bad considering weight and altitude.
I will be glad to see some logs at that baro.
If you go lower altitudes make some logs to see if your tune is off the chart and how good is PCM at correction.

You can find the patch in the xdf posted in this thread
    http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Inj...E-xdf-(EEXTRA)

It has "cell 16 duplicate" in the name.

I've found a little bug that causes the EEHack to crash.

When you go to any "user parameters" selection window, type a name that is not on the list and press ENTER, the program crashes. Not a big issue anyway.

It also crashes when you press ok and no parameter is selected.

I`ve done some correction to the patch eehack applies. It corrects some minor stuff on eside mode 1 and adds maf to sd switching based on byte 2028 arbitary,
so it applies proper patch based on selected mode in the bin.
I might add some hidden patches for advanced users. Their application will be based on some switches in the bin.

My ultimate goal is to make an idle cylinder fuel correction patch. What I am missing is the control interface at the mode4 control window.
If you can help with the interface it will be done really fast, since I have some ideas how to do it.
