    here's the thing

the VE table is big. i think around 450 bytes. that's almost half a kilobyte.

the VE table is in flash rom. to tune something in realtime on this type of ECM over the ALDL it has to be in ram. and even writing ram requires some trickery. there simply isn't that much contiguous free ram on the ECM

so you need to re-evaluate your expectations. it would at least require a major rewrite in an attempt to free up some ram

the question i have for you is why bother? i have provided tools that should be able to nail a VE table to either stoich or a wideband value in a few hours, due to the increased flash speed of flashhack, and the interpolative analysis of trimalyzer

there is other cool stuff you can do over the ALDL. mode 4 lets you screw with overall timing and fuel so you can go 'hey, does it run better if i throw 5 degrees more timing at it in cruise?'. to test, you can go cruising and then temporarily jack global timing advance up 5 degrees.

by the way i've never actually played with a P66 ecm.

it was 'fairly similar' to an LT1.....so me and kur4o wrote the P66 V6 flash routine in flashhack together via email, with him on the other side of the world with the ECM, and me over here with the programming.

it was terrifying when he first tried it. to write the LT1 flash routine, i 'bricked' my test bench ecm probably 50 times.

so i'm really glad it works and people use it, i never thought i'd be able to do something like that without a ridiculous amount of trial and error.

i am not a great programmer really, i'm just really persistent

Is there any chance by far to add slider for speedometer scalar so that it is easier to calibrate speedo. I do know there is a spreadsheet but I must be to dumb to use it cause every time I try it gives me wrong data, realtime slider like for timing advance would be easier, if that is possible of course

    Best regards

sorry eehack wont help with that

one thing i've done is get going on a flat road and get your GPS speed from your phone or whatever, then also note the speed on your speedometer. then divide and change your speedo base by the difference

usually do it again a few times and get it pretty close
