The web page in the link shows you how to get security updates for Windows XP until 2019. The trick is to claim you are running the embedded version of Windows XP. Seems Microsoft is still providing security updates for the embedded version of Windows Xp. Microsoft says it's a bad idea, but others understand the Windows software is the same for both.

PS. As always backup your system. Actually, I haven't tried this. I don't use Windows xp that much anyhow.

Thanks for the tip. I'll have to try it on a machine that doesn't have anything critical to see if it works.
