Question on 1987 MAF Sensor Corvette

This is the 3rd MAF Sensor that I've been through. They seem to go out after 2 weekends at the track. I am using TunerPro R/T, is there a way of programming the MAF sensor out or replacing it with something else? Thanks,

I'm guessing that no one's done this before.

The later TPI systems ditched the MAF and went with speed density. You could probably upgrade to that ECM with some wiring changes.
