    hello there

    im a newbie looking for information on a vortec to TBI swap on a 2005 4.3 engine.

    my project is a rock crawler its going to be a toyota 4runner 1988 with a 2005 4.3 vortec tbi convertion.
    i bought today for 80 bucks in a junkyard a complete tbi system. ecm, distribuitor, harness, tbi unit, etc, etc, etc....
    its a 1228062 ecm and im looking for the diy convertion, ecm diagram, wiring diagrams

    came out of a gmc jimmy 4.3 1991

    There might not be an easy to follow DIY conversion available here. Most DIY conversions have the installer figure things out from schematics. The information and schematics we have for the 1228062 ECM is here: http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Inj...Information-4E

    Very easy swap. Took me about 10 hours to make the wire harness and another 4 hours to combine it with the toyota harness in the truck. Just find a good detailed wire diagram for the toyota. Most of my connections were made at the passenger kick pannel. I even got the factory check engine light fed from the gm computer.
