    1227747 A/C settings

Last year I added a 1227747 to the 305/4L60 in my 4 wheeler. After a couple months of adjusting it is running great. I recently added an on-board air system that uses a York A/C compressor. I would like a higher RPM for filling the air tank and getting more output from the alternator while winching. I wired the compressor power switch to the A/C wire on the computer, but it did nothing. Diving into my last bin file all 6 scalars I found for A/C are zero. So, I am looking for some settings from a similar engine/trans combo. I went through a bunch of bin's from the site here, but the values are all over the place.

I only see 6 objects, all under IAC (Using TunerPro RT):
    1. Init for A/C on Steps
    2. Added Started Steps w/AC on
    3. Min Diff. Steps w/AC on
    4. Max Diff. Steps w/AC on
    5. RPM Added to Desired Idle w/AC on
    6. RPM Added for A/C On

This is from ADTJ G-Van 5.0l
    1. 25
    2. 22
    3. 5
    4. 35
    5. 0
    6. 0

    This is from APYP
    1. 133
    2. 195
    3. 209
    4. 223
    5. 2475
    6. 2325

As you can see the values are vastly different. What works for you? Any other settings I am missing?

    Thanks,

    Steve

add rpms for ac on should raise your idle speed when you hit the ac switch.

That is what the notes for that object said. To be used in conjunction with another IAC object that doesn't exist as named. That is why I was hoping someone would post up known good settings.

I added 50 rpms to my truck because the ac pump is old and it helped it stay cooler at idle, I don't know about tuner pro but with tuner cat change 1 thing and it adds rpms I haven't compared a modified bin to see what all changes in tuner pro, its a free change but if you compare the changed bin to the stock bin I would like to see if it changed more than one thing in the tuner pro program.

I tried some different settings for RPM Added for A/C On and got no change. Here are my current settings:

    1. Init for A/C on Steps: 20
    2. Added Started Steps w/AC on: 22
    3. Min Diff. Steps w/AC on: 5
    4. Max Diff. Steps w/AC on: 35
    5. RPM Added to Desired Idle w/AC on: 0
    6. RPM Added for A/C On: 2150 (I started low and kept adding)

I will try item 5 next. I idle about 750 so I will add in 100 increments and see what happens.

I attached my current bin minus the change I made to "RPM Added for A/C On"

I never asked an important question. Do these settings work the same in open and closed loop? I have only been testing open loop sitting in the garage.

I don't think you would see a change till it goes closed loop it all ready has a faster idle in open loop.

I am going to take it out for a drive tomorrow to get it warmed up before I do any more testing. This year has been a busy one. I don't think I had it out more than 4 times since January. Thanks to global warming I probably won't get in any snow wheeling this winter either :(

Some are predicting more snow in the Northwest than they've seen in a long time this coming winter.

I would truly love that. I am a snow junkie. I was watching a government broadcast on El Nino and they were predicting a warmer and dryer than normal winter. Time will tell.

I hope it's not dryer here in central CA. I can't afford to have a new well dug if mine goes dry. So far I've been lucky and my water level hasn't dropped much.

    Solved.

Item 6 below I backed out to 0. I added 550 into item 5 and that worked. I didn't validate the final RPM. It does not seem to be 550 more. It could be that the item 4 is limiting it. I may test this later. For now it is enough.
