I use a generic USB to serial cable or a Moates APU1 with tunerpro. I don't know what the specific requirements are, but you're not limited to a single cable type.

I'm using a usb to serial cable-then a serial to aldl. Winaldl is the only one to recognize it. Freelog sort of does but not consistently. Just curious if the program is looking for a max232 echo and dismisses it if not present? Will dig through the parts bin and just go ahead and build one. Have tried both 160 baud and 8192. Put an led on the data current and it shows it is trying to communicate but fails to connect.
Open the adx in Tunerpro goto Acquisition then edit definition... info your looking for is in header info..
