    93 pcm & 4l60e trans VSS question

Hello I have a wiring harness from a 1995 suburban
I have all new glowshift elctronic guages
Im Trying to wire up my vss to ecm and guage to ecu my wiring harness wires from the VSS do not match my ecm wire colors how should I proceed? And are these the two wires I need to connect to on the ecu

Normally there will be a DRAC or VSSB wired in between the two F12 & 13 would go to the VSSB and so would the VSS wires along with a +12v and Ground wires. The VSSB will have an output for your speedo as well.

I replaced my speed meter with a glowshift speed meter it has the speed adjustment on the guage it's self does that take the place of the VSSB? If so does the ecu need a corrected signal from a VSSB?

Does the gauge have an output for the PCM?

It's a one wire connection and the instructions said to splice into VSS sensor signal wire. it has a wave adjustment for the speed meter it's self I was concerned about the connection from the VSS to the ecm. I have the speedmeter covered trying to figure out if I need a VSSB for the ecu to read speed and control the transmission.

I have ran an inline cable drive VSS adapter with the 7427 and without the VSSB, but you're better off wiring it up right. Without a VSSB/DRAC, the speed signal going to the PCM can be off by quite a bit which can affect how the TBI performs as well as shifting/lockup. It's only a few more wires and the module isn't too difficult to find.

For a '93, you should be able to use any DRAC or VSSB. A DRAC will only have 7 jumpers but I've seen them used all the way up through '94. Best bet to find one is in a '92-95 full size truck behind the glove box. On a '95 it will be under the ECM and everything else will have it just below the glove box floor.

I've seen the 7 jumper (DRAC) in plenty of '93 & '94 vehicles with 4L60E's, but I wasn't aware of their use past '94 and I didn't think any were used past '95. Is this a TBI vehicle or Vortec? I don't have any concrete info on when or why a VSSB needs to be used vs. a DRAC, but the only year I haven't seen the DRAC used is '95.
