Need Education in Modifying ADX to show Transmission Filter Temp ($0D)

Sometimes I'm more stupid than normal, but this is the case... I don't know what I know.

Using ADX: 217_OD_V217 for tunerpro. I want to see the Transmission Filter Temp (Pin B5). I added this item into values, with address 0x41, 65, 8 bit. I grounded out B5 to ground and no indication. Its not that simple I'm sure, because its suppose to be in the datastream so we can pluck it out... right?

I got the 0x41, 65 address from the trans1 ADX on tunerpro site.

Where did I go wrong and were do I need to go. I was going to use this to monitor oil temp and not have it modify the run as I am in a Corvair, so as long as it does not modify engine..... I'm good.

Adding fields into the ADX/Packet offset

I guess to re-ask my question, how do I know what the packet off-set is for my Trans Temp (Pin B5) in the current ADX? It appears it not 0x41. I get readings using the Trans ADX from the TP downloads.

The ADX file from here has transmission temp in it. http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Inj...5&d=1361028399
You should be able to edit the file to get the values and add them to your normal data logigng ADX. You also have to fill in the conversion tab to get a normal temp to show up. It converts the hex in the datastream to degrees F or C. See attached screenshots. Hopefully this is what you are asking.

    Thanks Brian,

Yes... exactly what I did before posting. I thought 0x41 would be the proper offset since it worked using the trans adx, but NOPE.

I opened a couple others and the offset were different between ADX files for Tach, temp, etc... so Im really confussed.

If I get a chance this weekend, I will try to add it into my adx and see if I can get it to show.

The issue is that the transmission has a different datastream. Look at the commands for send and reply in the ADX. PM sent and here is the info on how to add it but your bin will have to have a couple of changes along with the ADX. http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Inj...the-DataStream
