Actually I haven't loaded it yet. That is just PRT SCR, paste in paint, save as JPEG, upload. works fine. I just wasn't aware of the BMP vs. JPEG deal.

Ahh! Well here's another tip, if it's black and white, grayscale or very little colors with no blending or shadows you can also save as gif, it's even smaller. IIRC it has an optimizer for both making file size even smaller, but if you go to far it starts to pixelate (blur)...

I see you got it resized! The other software you can lock aspect ratio and only change width, the other will be auto, no math!

Screen Shots or placing full size photo in post.

Attachments are shown as thumbnails (small picture like an icon) to save space. When you upload an attachment and use place in-line it is still a thumbnail. For someone to see full size they need to click on it which is OK, except in a how to or writeup. To show them full size, do not place in line!

In thread you must either start the thread and you will be in Advanced view, if you are replying to a thread look toward bottom left of quick reply box and Go Advanced, manage attachments and upload your photo or screen shot. Click done and they are now in your post. Then click preview post and you will be able to see attachments, click on whichever one you want in line full size and it will display in a new page. Copy the URL, like this:
    http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Inj...3&d=1324671404
then use the back button to go back to your post.

Next click on the Image button seen below.

A box will open and choose URL, and paste in the URL, no need to retrieve file if it is already here, retrieve if somewhere else. Then click OK.

Now your picture is in-line full size! Like this! Not a small thumbnail...
