    hey everyone my names robby, im 23, i run a machine shop here in NY, ive been building motors since i was a little kid (it runs in the family) and ive been fortunate enough to learn from alot of wise and smart older guys in my life to set me on the right path. Im a die hard chevy guy!!!! BUT i dont discriminate when it comes to making a customer happy and of course when it comes to makin that green stuff.

    ive never played around with modifying fuel injection, its always been carburetors, just like most everyone else, but i want to learn how to tune and do it properly, and ive been told this is the place to learn.

    i definitely dont know everything, and im most certainly not one of those arrogant kids who thinks his crap dont stink. I love to learn, and heAR what other people have to say.

    I currently have a 1966 chevy II ss that was swiss cheese when i got it, so every piece of sheetmetal later, a tublar chassis, full cage, tci front clip, moser rear, caltracs, split mono's, slider boxes, custom four speed, and one of my high revving small blocks and a completely gutted car, and we have a sweet street car.

    i also have my 1994 k2500 xtra cab, with a 7" lift, 4.88's, 35" tires, and a 353ci small block i built. It's .020 over, 4 bolt main one piece block, with a sealed power 2403 forged stock replacement flat top piston with 4 valve relief and -13.5cc dish, i cut the wrist pins down and added a channel for double tru-arcs, so now its a floating setup, scat 5.700 forged i beam rods (3.480 stroke), liberty performance ZR forged crank, rotating assembly balanced within 1 gr, piston is .005 out of the hole meaning the deck is cut .030, i got a set of dart shp 180 64cc straight plug aluminum heads with 2.02 intake and 1.60 exhaust stainless steel valves, comp cams springs/retainers, three angle valve job, backcut valves, harland sharp 1.5 roller rockers, comp cams 08-525-8 hyd roller (800-5000 rpm, 194/206 @.050, .470/.464 w/ 1.5 and 116 LSA), dual row timing chain, sealed power roller lifters, edelbrock performer tbi manifold (i radiused the bore holes as opposed to boring them open) holley 670cfm tbi (newer version), MSD 6al, MSD pro billet 8366 distributor, MSD stock replacement coil, MSD 8.5mm wires, AC Delco R43XLS plugs, hedman long tube headers, custom 2.5'' mandrel bent xpipe exhaust w/ flowmaster 40's, custom 4l60e. (Static compression of the motor is 9.4:1 and should have no issues making 1hp per cubic inch). i think thats everything.

    Ill definitely be asking for everyones help in tuning that beast! thanks in advanced for the help! and if anyone needs motor advice or help let me know id be more than happy to help!

    Welcome.

    I'm an old school guy myself, more familiar with carbs than EFI. But even I have successfully swapped two EFI engines into older vehicles, so it isn't terribly difficult to do. Some of the tuning can be confusing, but there are some great people here that can help you out. I have a good friend that is a machinist as well and have learned a great deal from him too.
