    1990 Firebird Formula

Hi..................................just register on the site. I have been working on my 1990 Firebird Formula for the last few years. The car has 350 330hp GM Crate Motor modified with Vortex Heads, 488in./509ex. Comp. roller cam, BBk 52mm TB, Edelbrock TPI intake, SLP Runners, full roller 1.52 rockers, 23lb. Accel injectors, Edelbrock Emission headers. 700r4 rebuilt, 2800 stall(lock-up) with 373 posi and more. The car is running a stock 1990 tune and runs 13.5 sec. in the 1/4 mile at 101mph. She needs a tune to take her to the next level, car lays down at the 1\8th mile than struggles to get to 5000rpm. the car runs good but is choked by the stock 1990 tune. I will be ordering Moates tuning software, any input would be great because I believe the car will run 12.80 or quicker once tuned. The car still has the A/C hooked up and all its emissions equip. as well as 3" exh. from cat back. car is quick and fun to drive but still want more out of the motor for the track.

    thanks

Most members here use TunerPro RT to tune with. The Moates.net Ostrich 2.0 would be a good option, and works GREAT with TunerPro RT.

Hi Dave.................................I will look into all my options like TunerPro RT. Once the weather gets warmer here, I will pull the car out and work on the tune.
I was wondering about Knock sensor from a LT1 and if it will not be so sensitive as the one used on 350 TPI engines. Thanks for the response.
