FYI only..had this site bookmarked:
How to Control a 4l80E with a GM 16197427 ECM
http://mattw.dyndns.org/4L80E/
Friend of mine has a 06 he said he'll give me. Is this something I can use or is there a cut off on the years I can control with the 7427 ecu
I picked up a 2004 4l80e with convertor last night.
Would I be better running a 16196395 ecu since that's what came in the 94-95 350tbi trucks with a 4l80e or will the 16197427 work just fine. I have a 7427 ecu I just need the Eprom for it. Already have the moates adapter and a apu1
No difference in those PCMs, either one will run $OD $OE $E6 or $31.
89 K1500 Scottsdale 5.7L 5spd 3:42 RamJet cam Dart iron TBI heads 427 PCM swap
95 C2500 Cheyenne 6.5L turbo diesel 4L80e 4:10 DB2-4911 Manual pump conversion 0411 PCM trans control 2Bar COS
05 Outback XT 2.5L turbo gas auto
Cool. Does it matter what eprom I buy to work with the adapter? Like does it have to be of the same base bin I plan on using??
Where did all my helpers go?? :-)

I have a diesel throttle pedal / APP sensor and TCM here. I thought it would be easy enough to weld an extension on the pedal to attach a cable but I haven't yet done a stand alone 4L80E install.TPS I used a alum plate mounted the TPS sensor and an extension arm to the paddle

That sounds like a neat setup.
I've never seen TP files for the TCM, either. Options are Tunercat or one of the TC resellers.
Years ago I helped a guy building a custom efi system. We used an electronic Q-jet for the throttle body. Machined the venturis out and used the TPS to a 165. The engine had vacuum hoses and wires all over and a quick glance left you thinking it was a carbed engine in full emissions gear.
XDF files are user made and we've only got so much information available to make them.
