    Moates G1 adapter?

Do you need a Moates G1 adaptor to use a 27SF512 chip in a 16197429 PCU?

Can the Eprom be pulled and the 27SF512 chip be installed?

It looks like the G1 would work. There's more information here: http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Inj...tation-Project

You have a couple options. The G1 makes it easy. You just plug it in and then you can install a ZIF and make chip swapping easy.
Or you can desolder the factory chip from the memcal and install a 27SF512 in its place and then a G1 will not be required. However the memcal readout header will be needed to erase and program it now.
