    Fuel pressure question...

First of all, don't laugh... LOL... I usually work on carbs.

Anyway, I read on here and have recieved advice on my ongoing project about the need for higher fuel pressure. I have done the adjustable pressure mod, but I don't get much change in the PSI. My pump will do 33-35 PSI when you deadhead it. All this leads to my question. Would it be acceptable to put a regulator on the return side as a restrictor to increase the pressure if needed? Seems to simple...

that's exactly how a regulator works, so yeah it'll be acceptable, how else would you install one?

but you should remove or cripple (remove the guts from) your other regulator too. there's no need for two regulators in series.

I don't recall seeing a regulator on the return side of a fuel system before. That is the reason why I asked. Thanks.

Most fuel system indtsll the FPR. On the return side. I've only seen a couple systems that use an upstream FPR.
The man who says something is impossible, is usually interrupted by the man doing it.

I usually deal in carbuerators. And mostly hot rodded systems with Holly style carbs, which I don't recall seeing a regulator on the return side (if the system is not dead headed). These are low pressure systems though. I am not familiar with FI systems, so thanks for the info.
