Hi guys, thanks for the add.

I've been working on project& been looking g for a site like this for a while. I have a 98 4x4 ext. cab chevy that I put a 383 in. It runs great but I know with custom tuning it will be so much better. I will be looking for tips& advice as I go along. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

The 1998 "Black Box" PCM (computer) could be upgraded to the newer 12200411 PCM. The aftermarket support (tuning software) for the 12200411 PCM is better. Several members here have upgraded, and like the results!

I have heard of that. What all is involved in the swap as far as wiring harness etc.? Would it be better than an auto-cal tune from blackbear?

PM me your name and e-mail address and I will send you the wiring file for the swap. It is a repin of the PCM connectors and takes about an hr to complete. It is VERY easy.
