Looks like a remote thermostat setup. Would be interesting trying to get it in a truck.

Not sure if the pictures are misleading, or is that thing huge! It looks so tall in the pics, you would have to cut a hole in the hood to clear it. I too noticed the lack of a t-stat housing, not sure how that would work.

I saw another vortec marine intake on ebay the other day. The throttle body looks gigantic.

That thing kinda looks like a edlebrock carb intake modded for mpfi. I'd say remove that funky huge tb, and install a tbi unit minus the injector pod and you would probably have a pretty nice intake.

    Interesting.
With as popular as this swap seems to be among you chevy guys, I'm really surprised that no aftermarket supplier has started to make these in aluminum or aluminum/composite.

I think the L31 application was overshadowed by the LS1 and forgotten. The L31 Marine intake setup makes more sense conversion wise than the TBI to MPFI intake system that Edelbrock created. Edelbrock even went so far as to cast parts for the LT1 and LT4, just forgot to offer the matching intake for their Etec heads!!

Your probably right. Every time a new generation of anything comes out, after a year or two, the aftermarket pretty much forgets about the previous gen.
