.. but what i'd need is some review, since i only have experience with a few different ECMs and vehicles, and some of my tips n tricks may not relate to some particular ECMS.

so we'd need someone to fill in the gaps with phrases like 'UNLESS you have an old tbi ecm, then chances are VE tables stop at a certain rpm, and it's slope calculated (which we'd explain)' (and actually i know that one already but im sure there's other examples).

also i tune cars, so tweaking spark tables for hauling/towing trucks, stuff like that, i'd want some gaps filled in.

if someone was willing to work on that stuff with me then it'd be worth it, otherwise it's not really worth it, since my info could screw someone around.

the EGR should have a setting "minimum coolant temp to enable EGR" - Just crank it up as high as it will go. Not sure on the VSS.

On the Ve tables, you take the contents of the cells of VE Adder/VE2 and add them to VE1 and put all zeros in the VE2 cells. This puts all your fuel tables into one table.

what you need to get started (adx, xdf, bin) and what they all do
how to get started datalogging, and how to relate certain values in logs to the tables in your bin.. and the general workflow of tuning, logging, and repeat.
understanding basic fuel tables for VE or MAF, and various ways to check fuel metering (BLM trims, wideband, readin' plugs)
basics on spark tuning and how engines react to it, what engines require less or more spark, re-ranging stock timing tables for larger cams, stuff like that (im half done that tutorial already)

YES YES YES PLEASE!!! It would be GREAT to have you write this steveo! It is SO difficult to ramp up on this stuff.

I'm right there with you 78 monte. I've actually been thinking about doing a step by step setup. The next day or so it's hot or rainy I'll post something up and pm steveo to see if he can add to it.

I deal with customers all the time trying to explain incredibly convoluted/advanced things in a way they might understand. I suck at it but since tuning is fresh to me I think I might be able to pull this one off!
