Anyone programmed a GM BCM?

My neighbor has a 2001 Cavalier with 2.2. cranks spits/sputters sounds like it wants to start but won't. Has spark, compression and fuel. Looks like the BCM is not communicating with the ECM. Looking around online...appears that the Cavalier BCM has a history of going bad.

Anyone swap a BCM or is dealer programming the only option?

U1000 (No state of health from module)
P0621 (generator lamp 1 control circuit malfunction)
P0108B (MAP sensor circuit high voltage)

BCM Code:

B1382 (Device Ignition ACC Circuit Low)

Some independent repair facilities can program BCM's through a Tech2 or Tech2win software.

Faulty BCM will not cause the engine to sputter or behave like that. If the car has fuel and spark then you have another issue. The BCM can only cut fuel via anti theft but won't change the way the engine runs, it will completely cut fuel.
I would start by fixing the P0108B code. A high voltage code in most cases means an unplugged sensor or broken wire. Check wiring, clean sensor and connector and replace if needed.
