Would Checksum failure cause these issues?

So I had some surging and lack of fuel problems I switched the fuel filter, I got the pressure to finally clear up and run at 13psi, everything seemed good from that side of things but only 1 injector was running. One of the harnesses had no current, I took off the ostrich 2.0 and it ran great. I just opened up the bin and ran the difference tool and it showed that the checksum was different. It was 78 something something I changed it before I taking but while the original was 78EA. I'm gonna connect it all back in there tomorrow and see if it gives me fuel troubles again.

the checksum changes pretty much any time you change anything in your bin.

thats the entire point of it. it's a verification byte to make sure that your bin isnt corrupt.

if you change only the checksum... then it'll just throw a checksum error.

I cants find any differences in the original bin and it was the emulator causing me truck to run only the driver side injector.

I may be wrong if so someone please correct me.
When using the emulator and only when using the emulator you need to change the check sum to AA

That would be the mask ID, which in my emulator was set to 0D instead of AA. I'll modify it to AA and try it again.
Maybe that was it, I just went over all my previous bins and all my modified bins have AA as mask ID while this latest one has OD as the mask ID. That could have been causing failures. Thanks I'll try that in the morning.

You are correct it is the mask ID that has to be changed to AA. Mark discusses it in this thread.

Alright well I did the changes and I'll connect the g1 adapter and ostrich 2.0 again tomorrow morning and start it up hopefully it doesn't cause the 1 injector off condition again.

Another issue I have had occasionally. Is sometimes with the emulator hooked up to the g1 adapter is the adapter will move a little and throw it into lhm.
