    Ironblock Ironhead LT1 .bins

Asked to park these here, so, here they are, by GM Operating System Part Number.
16207111 is an RPO NM8 .bin. So far, the only export .bin I can verify. When the VIN from this .bin goes into GM's SPS Info, it yields something vaguely interesting: "Abuse torque management routines activated".
16207111 is NOT included in TSB#57-65-17A, but IS the valid Calibration for a Buick Roadmaster Limited RPO NM8. No NM8 Cal Part#s in that TSB; can't find any GM docs that contain other NM8 Cal Part#s.
Strongly suggest making your own 'oem-ish' .bin files by using values you prefer from any or all of them (for example, 95 V4P & 95 9C1 Main Line Pressure Tables).
Nearly all the American ones are already covered, except for limos, hearses, taxis, and 4.3L L99 calibrations …

There are some differences in the trans controls mostly pertaining to tcc pwm apply which was not an option in 93-94, they were ON/Off control.

Far as I can tell, all that needs done to use a '95 .bin to operate [like] a '94, is to disable an error code, and change 4 tables [to make them look like they do in the '94 .bin].
Strongly doubt that TCC PWM's the [only] reason why '95 B-cars CAFE-tested with SLIGHTLY higher MpGs than '94s, even though TCC PWM looks like the only important software difference.

Whichever B-car you've got, just grab the .bin file that most closely matches yours, grab the OTHER one from the other year, and compare for yourselves.

Figure out which values work 'best' from each variant; mix & match to your heart's content …

Lazy of GM to not update the '94 .bins with '95 values.

you might get better results from.. you know.. tuning it, instead of just relying on mixing and matching GM's stock calibration data.

    just sayin.

but these are very useful for comparing different calibrations, to see how they achieved certain things.

Tuning, especially of the spark and shift tables, almost goes without saying, steveo.
That said, even after everything people like you have done to parse ever more parameters for these .bins, there are important differences between, say, the 16230211, & the 16207111, beneath what's currently defined.

    oh absolutely.

same as with most platforms, there are code patches in lots of them, not just a few different tables.

if you run binary diffs against all the known calibrations within a model year or whatever, you find differences that are WAY outside of anything that looks like table storage space.

i added what you uploaded to my list at http://fbodytech.com/bin/index.html, and i'll keep workin away at identifying these things, one of these days.

again thanks for contributing, this stuff is very valuable to me. i need to get off my butt and start working on the disassembly again, but it makes my head hurt.
