    Fuel pressure gauge

So the adapter with fuel pressure gauge that I had ordered over a week ago finally came in
    But....

When I opened the package the instructions say this adapter screws between the fuel filter and the the line coming from the tank
Are the threads the same to the ones on the throttle body so that I can visually see the fuel pressure while driving to test and tune my fuel injector data?
Otherwise I'll have to have my gf ride in the back holding the gauge but i doubt she is very fond of the idea.fuel pressure.jpg

No. Looks like you have the same one I do. I have a digital gauge that threads on to that adapter that I borrow from my brother when I needed to check pressure while driving.

I found it seems fairly decent of a gauge setup, although mine is a little off. I have the adapter installed and left it in for now. The only time I hook it up to make adjustments or if I am trying things.

They make one that threads into the regulator housing on the throttle body. And it costs less than the Actron one.

The pictured adapter looks like the same one I've mounted on the throttle body to measure fuel pressure. It's sometimes easier to mount the fuel pressure tester by the fuel filter. Usually the fuel filter outlet and throttle body inlet are the same thread.

The adapter he has should be 16mm x 1.5, which is very common GM fuel filter fitting. The fuel line adapter fittings that thread into the throttle body are 14mm x 1.25 and 12mm x 1.25.

Okay after a quick search I found a post saying that the inlet side is 16mmx 1.5 and the outlet is 14mmx 1.25

It happens...I lost compression on two cylinders. One was still reading 110, but the other was 40psi. all the rest were 175. So I decided to rebuild the engine, but I was still using the truck every now and then. After washing it one day, I pulled on to the main road and did a nice long 1st into 2nd gear burn out, and when it hit second, it went BOOM! The rear planetary failed. I went from having to rebuild both units, to building them both, an then learning to tune on top of that! It's been on heck of a ride and I surely know that banging the head off the wall feeling! It feels like one step forward and two steps back sometimes!
