PE - RPM thres for PE, 1227747

I was looking through the PE scalers for the $42-1227747-V5.9.3.xdf mask. I was surprised when I opened the PE - RPM thres for PE and found it was set at 2000RPM. The description says,"This is the RPM which PE stops! Raise it to whatever RPM you want to stop PE."

Wouldn't this mean when I operate at RPM's above 2000 the ECM will not go into open loop PE?

The weird thing is, I do go into open loop when I accelerate hard at RPM's above 2000.

sounds like a poorly written description to me, most likely it exits PE mode if RPM falls BELOW that constant despite other conditions being correct.. which would make a bit of sense (but still not sure why it'd be necessary)

I believe if you set it higher PE wont invoke till you hit a higher RPM. Saves on gas. Trucks have it set higher. Most likely to save gas.

The PE bypass RPM value is actually used to bypass the PE fuel delay, which can be as long as 15 seconds in a TBI truck.
