    Hello, 93 TBI 454 K2500 Suburban DD/Tow Rig

    Hey everyone!

I've been driving my 93 tbi454 Suburban as a daily driver and tow vehicle for my Jeep project. Would like to one day put a tbi unit on the jeep as well feeding a sbc or the like because of their simplicity and availability of parts.

Just purchased a cable to track down some odd starting issues and found your site and am excited to possibly do some of my own tuning for towing and possibly some unloaded .bin s for freeway drives (maybe one or two more mpgs).

I have a thread on Pirate4x4 in the TowRigs/Trailers section, mostly covering non motor modifications and issues I've had. Here is the link(Warning: Foul language used in thread)

Current Picture (sorry telephone camera is not the best):

She is bone stock drivetrain wise, 1993 tbi 7.4, 4L80 that seems to be in good shape and shifting well, 241c manual shift transfer case I just rebuilt, and a FF 14bolt rear with 3.73 gears and an open differential. I have had to change the distributor out once because of a faulty advance setup (used but in good condition), have changed the coolant sensor with a Delco unit and have changed plugs (multiple times), wires, cap, rotor, air filter, fuel filter, trans filter and fluid, set timing, and have installed a digital trans temp gauge in the hot line right out of the transmission in the year I have owned it.

I have been lead to this thread on what I believe is my PCM/.bin/.xdf

Can't wait to do some data acquisition and share for suggestions! Thanks!

To find the right files you;ll need the ECM/PCM number along with the chip four letter BCC.
