That is a lot of injector but when needs must you just have to roll with it.there is a 4 cylinder tune or two uploaded in the custom $12p tunes thread I think

Isuzu g200 twin can tune
I am at my wits end!
I've spent 10 days trying to figure out why engine loses fuel (?) on acceleration at about 4800rpm
Checked all the obvious like ignition (swapped parts), checked fuel pressure, wiring, sensors etc.
Even put in an unnecessary new fuel pump in case fuel volume was the issue.
I can't make heads or tails out of the Datalogs to see if there IS a cause showing there, or am I seeing the Datalog's recording of the effects??
I mean... to me it's LOOKING like the ECM cuts off the fuel for some reason (when all rev limits are set to 6500).
PS - This problem was just rearing it's ugly head BEFORE I installed my multi-port EFI system.
That's why I was thinking it's inherent to something 'mechanical' on the car instead of the ECM, it's programming, or the new EFI. Am I wrong?

Screenshots from Datalog.
1st one is while idling. Not great- but here it's a starting point.
2nd screenshot shows everything crashing down.
Am I going lean - or being flooded?
Once in a while it will go past 4800rpm to rev limit, then a block later - no way.
The drop looks exactly the same when it happens at 4800rpm.

Even tried another 1227165 ECM with no effect.
So if problem is not with car or ECM - maybe the $12P NVRAM board in the ECM???
It's been a while since I looked at 12P, but I'm curious if 12P has parameters for the fuel / ignition cutoff? Maybe there are 12P parameters configured to native V8 that need a conversion for a 4 cylinder?

Oh... Dave... I thought you were on vacation or something... ;-)
$12P does - and they're set for 6500rpm...
We started with the same base BIN on my other car with the Supercharged V6 without this strangeness.
And with the Fast TBI on this engine with same ECM starting with same BIN got around 6000rpm without problems.
I'm running all the datalogs to get a Wideband O2 History Average table - and see what that looks like.

Send me a bin file and some datalogs I'll have a look
There doesn't seem to be any way to attach files to a PM...
The BIN started as $12P red_camaro_tune BIN - that you are familiar with. ;-)
NO TABLES have been altered.
Only parameters to get IAC working for idle, throttle etc. and Displacement/inj flow rate (Litres/Grams per sec)
It appears that at 4800rpm, 60-70Kpa - AFR goes to 20.7 - no wonder it dies!!

Sweet I'll have a look tonight and see what hump out at me
Thank you very much...![]()
