I need to see the secret handshake first.............
I actually discovered gm made a run of 5.3/4l80 light duty 2500's in 99-00, I believe this file to be from one.

Thanks!
I'm looking for the same thing but for drive by wire. Did they have a 5.3/4L80e DBW conbination?
1973 K-5 Blazer, TBI 350, TH400, 1 ton axles & 38" SSRs'
1975 280Z, TBI 350, 700R4
1953 M-38A1, TBI Buick 231
1951 Ford Panel, 5.3 with 4L80E
I worked as one of three 4L80-E Calibrators at GM Proving Grounds. There was NO 5.3L 4L80-E with any axle or GVW EVER released @ GM. Even Work Horse Custom Chassis NEVER had 5.3L with 4L80-E. Work Horse did have 4.8L with 4L80-E in P-Trucks and I released G-Van with 4.8L 4L80-E. Work Horse offered 6.0L with 4L80-E in P-Trucks. 6.0L 4L80-E were released in C, K, G-Van GM vehicles in many GVW/Axle combos. Big Block with 4L80-E were GM released in C, K, G-van. Work Horse offered this in P-Trucks and Motor Homes.
95-98 Jaguar V-12 and Line 6 S/C AND 96-2002 Aston Martin 3.2L S/C, AND 96-2000 Rolls Royce, AND 96-2002 Bentley all had 4L80-E transmissions. They did have other combos with other transmissions.
I find this Humorous. So many tell of things that Never were.
5.3 / 4L80 was available in 3/4 ton and one ton vans with short wheelbase and single rear wheels.
Well, I guess that settles it! Does anyone have a DBW 5.3 tune with the 4L80E swap already done?

Thanks for setting this straight. It's no surprise that people outside of GM have to work with the info we're given. If GM sales says there's a 5.3 / 4L80E available then it takes a long time to prove otherwise, if it ever happens. Strange and untrue things happen within the General's ranks as you know. I have a GM STG manual showing 700R4 transmission with dual pattern Chev + BOP case. Engineer from assembly line was surprised said "No way." He did plenty of digging, even found multiple versions of training manuals. Seems that's the only picture around of that mythical beast. Even the trainer who gave the class said they came in dual flavors. But without backing from inside, what else has a guy got?I find this Humorous. So many tell of things that Never were.
