    $4D/8063 rework thread

just a progress thread for my work on $4D

redoing the xdf and trying to get as much info as possible

at the moment, it's halfway there. perhaps we can put a link to this thread in the sticky $4D thread

will post my work on the xdf/adx, and im working on a complete collection of stock bins for it in here; once things are stabilized/verified can move them to the $4D thread

losing power through an auto on this 170hp beast would make me want to drive it into a ditch, rip off the vin, and hitchhike home. so no thanks.

here's the latest XDF, pulling in many tables and constants from the disassembly.

spark and fuel metering are reworked to a decent extent, the rest is still in progress.

view in category mode or die in a fire.

the experimental stuff requires a lot of documentation, conversion factors, etc.. but most of it looks legit.

TODO: more descriptions, conversions, renaming, whole ton of stuff. import more things from disassembly, especially AIR pump control which has no parameters whatsoever, and AE/DE are missing a few things. then testing.

    Ouch!

So I take it we don't like autos...

Just took a quick look at the mask and

depends on the car; if this one was an auto, i'd be making less power to the wheels than a base model toyota corolla......

seriously. it's so slow. it needs help. thats why im working so hard on this xdf. i might throw some boost at it or something like that, just as a challenge, and i'll need all the parameters i can get.

hey mark where i could use your help is the 'experimental' section, if you have a chance when you're feeling up to it, if there's anything that looks familiar from other masks, let me know. some of it, i'm clueless on as far as what it does or why it's there, or how to do conversion on it

dumb question of the day for me.

never dealt with 160 baud aldl comms before; and now i have to port my datalogging stuff to this platform..

    since it's rx only .....

    how's the stream synchronized?

how do you tell when it starts and ends?

    don't quite get it.
