Well, been a long while since I've been here. Had life get in the way haha. Two fuel pumps, a new gas tank, some sensors, distributor, and a baby, I got around to updating. I put the 80lbs injectors in my truck, tuned it a little, and thought I would see what everyone thinks. I drove around with 9 full size rail road ties in the bed (about 2250lbs being conservative). It runs GREAT but I'm far from done tuning it. Over the summer I'll be putting on some vortec heads, too. Just to recap what I'm running: 92 k2500, 7060 ecm, 357sb, flat top pistons, ported tbi heads with 2.02/1.60 valves, estimating 9.5:1 compression, summit sum1102 cam, 1.5 roller rockers, hedman competition headers, torker2 intake, 454tb with 80lbs injectors, injector pod spacer, AFPR cranked all the way up, msd 6al2. I had a salad bowl on but took it off because i didnt like how close it sat to the hood, need to get a cowl at some point haha. so i still have the choke tube and stock air cleaner assembly, except i have a k&n extreme flow filter lid and a 14 in filter sitting in the air cleaner. plugs are gaped out to .060 according to msd's recomendation, and running autolite plugs one step colder than stock. trans is a 4l80e, 4.10 gears and govloc in the rear. straight pipe exhaust, no mufflers or cats. no egr. thinking about getting a shift kit to put in it over the summer, too. I use the truck to haul a mud truck, and run in modified stock class in mud bogs just for fun. any suggestions for improvement, either mechanical or programming? i will say, the blm numbers seem pretty low (in the 105-124 range going up with map) in the lower rpms, but after about 2400 rpm they smooth out to 128 in every rpm and map.

BLM averages below 128 are rich. BLM averages above 128 are lean. The attached screen shot can be helpful understanding engine load vs. RPM vs. MAP. I would adjust VE table to get the BLM's closer to 128.

Could you describe the port work done on the heads? How much bowl work was done? How much of the swirl ramp was removed? Was the chamber unshrouded to accommodate the larger valves?

Dave thats what i figured, just keep datalogging. Just wanted to make sure i wasnt missing something, still a fresh fish lol. Roadknee its nothin special. Its how the heads came so i dont know specifics because it was a junk yard engine. Looked like they were gasket matched and had the swirls worked out smoothe as far as i could see. They were definitely punched out for the valves too. Which all sucks cuz i wanted the sworls and 1.90 valves lol. Keep velocity and torque up.

My build is very similar to yours but I'm not as far along as you yet (still accumulating parts). 95 k2500, 4l80e, 4:10 gears, building a 355. Already have vortec heads and a roller cam with slightly less duration than yours. Have a 46 mm bored tb from tbiparts.com and have been considering 65lb injectors. If your gonna stick with the 80lb in yours and you would be interested in selling your 65lb, pm me, I may be interested. I will be following your build with interest!

Sorry truck guy, we picked up a 91 suburban so I'm gonna throw those injectors into it lol. Been messin with the truck some more, I bumped up the bpw from 106 to 109. I was cuting out at 4000-4500 still and those 3 points took care of it. I started comparing with the g-p trucks and 454ss settings. Pulled a lot from those, including transmission data and idle data. It runs amazing now. Still gotta do a lot more data tracing tho. WOT is perfect, its the town driving that needs work, still rich in the lower MAP. Using the g-p and ss bin files helped a lot with getting that 3/4hd workhorse to move haha. ill post the bins i used for all of my comparisons and what i've got currently, plus the log to show what I've changed.

    $85-My bin I run
AWBM- The stock bin for my truck
    BAJW-The commercial van/chassis truck bin
    BAMY-454SS Silverado bin
BAAX- The bin Dave gave me to compare

Let me know if anyone has any suggestions or sees any problems!!Thanks folks.

Figured I'd post up my last data too to show how I got to my current VE. Am i putting in the extra data correctly (highlighted in red)? Never was to sure on that whole deal haha. Thanks.
