Added headers, looks like more adjustments needed.

Got a set of headers, y-pipe and hardware for $112 shipped.

    Edelbrock ceramic coated long tube.

Could not pass up that deal.

Got them installed and it feels a little different. Not seat of the pants, but the log shows some difference, I think......

I am running a bin that has the highway lean cruise enabled.

    1. Do I need to disable that and run new logs?

    2. One side of the headers, at the collector, is a bung for the O2 sensor. Right now, the sensor is in the pipe after the y-pipe. Should I move the O2 sensor up? (this puts the O2 sensor seeing exhaust from only 1,3,5 cylinders, where as the other position sees all the cylinders.)

Here is the bin and log for this morning's drive with the headers.

If it's a heated sensor leave it where it is, if not move it. There are many applications that sample only one side of the engine for O2, so it won't be an issue. In theory all cylinders should be pretty close.

Usually increasing the breathing ability of an engine requires a re-tune to take advantage of the increased flow, this is normal. Re-tune, have fun.

    It is a heated sensor.

I did see in the bin the notes about turning off certain things for tuning, so I'll have to do that.

Idle is rougher now, so now that makes me wonder if the blm's for idle need adjusting, or adjust the IAC count, or am I going to adjust the throttle plate screw.

if you are trying to get mpg the closer you can keep the intergrater at 128 the more mpgs you will get. my 4.3 may run a blm of 129- 130 but the interagater is usely 127-129 at cruise 1200- 2200 rpms. I would run the bin file you are running a few days then change what you wont to.

Yeah, I'll run that bin for a few days and see what happens.

I know I'll probably be redoing it when I get the spare transmission built and put it.
