need to know best scan tool for my tbi setup and can still be used for newer obd2

I am going to purchase a scan tool was thinking of a snap-on mt2500 red brick so I can get some info from my 94 gmc 350 tbi. if im gonna spend the cash I figured I might as well get one I can use on newer vehicles and still get the real time info from my obd1 system any recommendations would be appreciated
    maybe the snap-on ethos

My Actron AutoXray 7000 does OBDI and OBDII. Pretty cheap compared to Snap on stuff! They probably have a newer model by now, I've had this a few years.
