is there anyway to keep my msd 6al box and distubter and not control the timing with the ecm and just use it for fuel?
I read on one post i might be able to trigger something in the ecm with the msd box
My only thought was if the ecm cant control the timing will it see what timing there is and still control the fuel with out any problems or will it go into limp mode and is there mabey a way to program around it?
It's been a long time but you can use the tach signal from MSD 6A to give ECM what it needs to fire injectors.
It was popular way to TBI inject many motors without complication. But your loosing half of the benifits of EFI, spark control and knock control.Chevy motor is to easy to just drop in a small cap EFI distributor and have it all!

can i use the system from my buddies 1990 350 or do i need the system from an older truck and if i can run it with out controlling the timing for now what all do i still need to hook up ie knock controler and sensor oil pressure sensor.... and what all should i tell him to keep till i have the money ie disturbutor sensors.... i will be getting it all but im just trying to get my truck running till the summer when i have time and money to do the whole system but my carb is done and i dont want to buy one for only 3 or 4 month and thanks for the any advice you can give me
