    Hey my name is Blair I have a couple OBD1 GM vehicles and do my own tuning. One is a turbo 3500 Firebird running nAst1 and I recently acquired a 94 S10 2.2 which apparently runs $0D.

    Well you're definitely who I think you are :)

    I was was hoping to get some more info on here about the 2.2L $0D code. Most of the stuff is compatible with the V6/V8 $0D code but for some reason spark advance in the logs is waaay off and there's some other stuff I'm not sure about. I managed to pull the stock chip (BHFL) with my chip burner and make some changes that should improve fuel economy a bit. Also interested in some of the e-fan hacks out there but I'm not sure what the hardware differences are between the 2.2 and TBI ECMs.

    I had problems doing a PFI from a TBI $0D code and lost 10* when I removed the bias from the MAT and was not even using MAT.

    I think your DIS? It would need a different conversion in the $0D ADX file?

    Oh, and
    Yes I'm running DIS. When I'm logging the spark advance shows up as xx,xxx, like 23,560 or something like that. I changed the calc as described in the Xdf using the spark reference angle IIRC.

    BTW I noticed you don't have a BHFL in your collection of $0D bins. Do you want a copy of mine?

    Sure, post it up.

    The reason you adx file is reading wrong timing is because the 2.2L uses a differant ALDL.ds file to start. A265.ds and if you look at it the first thing it says is "* LIKE A217 WITH A MODIFIED SPARK FORMULA"

    Go down to
    *45 SAREFFNL FINAL VALUE OF SAREF(MSB)
    *46 SAREFFNL FINAL VALUE OF SAREF(LSB)
    DEGREES = (N*90/256) + 66

    Seems that would be the only change needed to make the regular $0D 217 ADX file work for you.

    yeah, more of team 60V6 comes to play.

    anyways, GM could have avoided the issue if they had output spark relative to TDC, not relative to reference. i still don't understand why they chose that one for output in a lot of streams.

    Here's the factory bin. I'll probably try out that modification to the .adx tomorrow.
