New tricks for an old truck

    Hello all,
The name is Josh, I drive a 53' Dodge pickup. I bought it from the original owner at the age of 15, and my dad and I built the thing together. Now 5 years later it actually is my daily driver! I got bored at a local junkyard one day, and found myself an old Subaru to swipe the turbo out of, and now I have a turbocharged flathead six. It's better, but being the grease monkey I am it's never enough, what else can I do to help? I have always tried getting fuel injection, and finally have the resources, so here I am!

I'd like to see some pics of this? Very cool project and sounds like a very cool dad!

What are you thinking for EFI?

I honestly don't have too many pics, but I'l try!
Here's some pics of the truck itself, plus a few of the turbo setup.

To answer your question, I am probably going to use two Rochester single barrel TBI setups run by a 749 ECU. I figure two throttle bodies should distribute fuel/air better than a two barrel in the middle, and the 749 knows all about boost! Now I'm here to learn about rigging this whole works up and how to modify the ECU as needed.

At least you have a plan. Problem with the single barrel TBI is they are scarce and costly when found!

Problem solved! A friend of mine has a bunch of the old 80's cars with em, My only issue so far is picking a throttle body to use, Rochester 700 or 300/500?

I don't know much about the one barrel TBI. But do get the one with simalar injectors as the 2 barrels so you can change sizes.

That's what I had been thinking, although the other one looks easier to plumb. but thats a one-time ordeal anyhow!
