16196285 BIN, $36 XDF, and *.adx

I'm having a real bear of a time finding any of these. I see mention of them in the forum, but I can't seem to find them anywhere for download. Any help would be appreciated.

I haven't used tunercat before. Are its files compatible with tunerpro?

The big seller w/tunerpro for me was its compatibility with ALDLDroid.

The Tunercat files will not work in TP. But then again there is no data logger in TC, so you still need TP and find the right ALDL file for data logs.

The tunercat approach seems expensive too. At the bare minimum, it would be $90 (tunercat itself at $70 and the ECM file at $20).

the $20 ecm file you're paying for is his work in dissecting that mask, and that's a great deal considering how much work goes into that kind of thing. as far as the tunercat software goes, you could just use his demo for 30 days and save up for it. 30 days is actually a lot of tuning.

    that said......

here's an xdf, i downloaded it, it looks fairly complete, but it may not be well tested: http://www.gearhead-efi.com/gearhead...ef/xdf/$36.xdf

and im too lazy to look, but i'm sure there's an ads in here too: http://www.gearhead-efi.com/gearhead-efi/def/ads/

there are for most masks of that era....

you'd best find it and convert it to an adx (there are instructions on doing so floating around somewheres)

once you've done that, and confirmed they work well for you, why dont you post them both back up here, and eaglemark can make a nice thread for it in the forums so other people can find them more easily?

Thanks, I think this should work for what I'm shooting to do with this project (replace the dash with a tablet running ALDLDroid). I'll return with an adx conversion if all goes well.

Tunercat cost is really not much and as far as the $20 for a definition is nothing compared to the work that goes into it. When John at Tunercat builds a definition it is also correct! Plus he's always there for tech support and even goes back to some of these old files and will find and add things that may be missing and needed for a tune.

This kind of car this file is for is not real high on the hot rod list and your lucky it's even there!

Take a look at this spreadsheet I made for all the files avaialble and what they go to! It's really handy when trying to find the ALDL.ds file needed to make the ADS file... If you find the ADS file you just Import it to TunerPro RT and it converts it to ADX and prompts you to save it that way.

There's also a document for the ALDL list of files, I'll post it here and you can search for your car to find the right ALDL.ds file.

That $36 XDF that steveo linked to seems to be very complete. It's probably another one that was hacked from TC files. We all really owe John at TunerCat way more they he gives credit for as much of his earlier work was just copied for TP!
