An apology to all I may have offended.

It's obvious that I have pissed some people off and this place isn't the only one as this includes any members here that are members over at the s10 boards.

I initially went from a holley carb to TBI because I thought it would be easier to tune and forget than to keep trying to tune a carb not made so much for daily driving for what seemed like every other day.

I can say that even though I have made this more difficult than needed, my truck is actually running better than with the carb.

In any case, instead of reading and listening more, I've allowed my impatience and other factors get in the way and as stated by other members, become "combative and argumentative".

    For that I apologize.

What frustrates me is that for the most part, I try to DIY as much as I can. I research as much as I can, but you certainly can't take everything that is on the net as gospel, and I don't, but there in lies an issue that seems to cloud what I am trying to learn and that is, what do you believe?

    Anyways,

There is a good group of smart people here and I need to learn to STFU sometimes and read up.

My apologies to ALL for being an ass.

I thought you stopped being an ass here a long time ago? After we talked you have been a fine part of the community!

That said it takes a real man to admit a wrong doing and apologize for it!

Yes, there is a lot of poorly thought out information on the net, I've been victim of it and at one time a perpetrator of it. Sometimes the repeated poor information is not done on purpose, but simply because the bad information has been repeated so much and so often it becomes truth. The problem is that there are not enough people to step back and think to put a stop to it.

Where I'm going with this is that, while I encourage you to read and ingest as much information as possible, the best teacher is experience, and that takes some time, and sometimes guidance from those more experienced to shove you in the right direction.

You may find that at some point, the engine runs perfect, or at least to a point where no one else notices ANY issues whatsoever, but because you're so in tune with the engine (pun not intended), that you can tell when there is the smallest glitch in the tuning and will spend days or weeks trying to tune it out, to get that perfect tune, when it's really not needed. ;)

That brings me to another point, you can't tune out a mechanical issue.

repeat that until it's the first thing you think of when you open your laptop:

you can't tune out a mechanical issue
you can't tune out a mechanical issue
you can't tune out a mechanical issue
you can't tune out a mechanical issue
you can't tune out a mechanical issue
you can't tune out a mechanical issue
you can't tune out a mechanical issue
you can't tune out a mechanical issue
you can't tune out a mechanical issue
you can't tune out a mechanical issue
you can't tune out a mechanical issue
you can't tune out a mechanical issue
you can't tune out a mechanical issue
you can't tune out a mechanical issue
you can't tune out a mechanical issue
you can't tune out a mechanical issue
you can't tune out a mechanical issue
you can't tune out a mechanical issue
you can't tune out a mechanical issue
you can't tune out a mechanical issue
you can't tune out a mechanical issue
you can't tune out a mechanical issue
you can't tune out a mechanical issue
you can't tune out a mechanical issue
you can't tune out a mechanical issue
you can't tune out a mechanical issue
you can't tune out a mechanical issue
you can't tune out a mechanical issue
you can't tune out a mechanical issue
you can't tune out a mechanical issue

I've been down this road, it just won't work.

So if you get to a point where going every which way in the tune does nothing to correct the problem, check the mechanicals, there is likely something wrong, even if you don't believe there to be, check anyway, and then check again.
The man who says something is impossible, is usually interrupted by the man doing it.

I truly appreciate the advice and will do my best to remember and use it.

That said, in regards to the "you can't tune out a mechanical issue", I have what I think maybe a transmission issue also, but just not so sure about that at the moment because I've found that BINs have different TCC lock up, so there is another point of view to have to keep in mind in the big picture.......
