Damn the 96-97's are real red headed step childs lol. EFI live finally did the 98+'s last year and now this awesome tool came out and no 96-97 support. I hope the 411 flash tool actually happens.

Hard to go through all the work to make a definition for a one year version PCM. But TunerCat OBDII does do them both as well as 98-00 Black Box Vortec PCM.

I think dimented24x7 has the LS1 flashtool done as well but is not releasing do to respect of Antus at Delco Hacking having his so close. One way or another it will be out!

Money wont ever be there for me to buy tunercats just for early blackbox's. I am going to try playing with editing files with efi live and attempting to flash with this tool. I have a ghetto bench harness for 96-97 for using a tech2 doing manual updates, could easily repin to 98+

I've always thought the re-pinning to 98-00 PCM would be the easiest. But EFI Live is as worthless as tits on a bull for 98-00 Definition... if your going to repin another PCM then just go to a 0411.

TunerCat OBDII is really the only option for all of the Vortec PCM trucks.

I opened up that 98 7.4L file you posted earlier. It didnt seem TOO bad.

Did someone fix the 4x4 4lo issue with 0411 swaps on 7.4L-4l80e trucks? I thought there was progress but no solution on the issue....

So two different people are making/releasing two different LS1 flashtools? Interesting.

Why do you say that? I haven't heard that issue brought up in a few years.

I thought it was an ongoing thing... It's hard to catch up with discussions on 3-4 different forums.
