    1228062 "pump shot" equivalent parameter.

Looking at a bin for the 1228062 ecm, what parameter would be for the acceleration enrichment, or the equivalent of the pump shot in a carburetor.

I'm guessing here but I think it might be the "Accel Enrich vs. Delta TPS"?

That is one of the AE tables.

So which table would I be looking at to tweak for a lag on acceleration?

Post your XDF when you have a question like this so we can look at exact file.

I'll explain operaqtion in a moment, but first a way to see what/why it needs to change can be done with data lofgging and using the INT. When you accelerate and the INT shoots up? Well it needs more AE. When you accelerate and it drops off? Well you need less AE. INT is a good tool, but a Wide Band is better.

I've done some work on that XDF. Remember there is a good dissasembly for further improvement in the $4E info thread!

There's three Paramters in this XDF I see and typical.
    1. "Accel Enrich vs Delta TPS" is the pump shot for when the TPS opens and is a short duration shot.
    2. "Accel Enrich vs Delta MAP" is the remainder of the shot and a longer duration to finish.
    3. "Accel Enrich vs Coolant" is obviously the Multiplier for when engine is cold. From the looks of a 4.3L bin I'm looking at it came with a 195* Thermastat as that is the multiplier is set to 1.00 so no extra because of coolant temp.

You can see how a 180* T stat would end up with a bog from to much AE after the engine and intake has totally warmed up and no longers needs extra AE. The above mentioned INT data is the best way I know of to verify other then seat of pants. But when your close it's hard to tell if it needs more/less? Obviously a pop through the TBI indicates a Lean pop and needs more, but this is extreme adjustment needed.

    HTH!

It depends on what is causing that "lag".

There's no "one size fits all" solution for that. In some cars I've found that I need to adjust TPS AE, other's MAP AE, most commonly a blend of the two, and other I also have to adjust other AE contributing factors, such as temp compensation and RPM multipliers.

There's so much more to AE than just adding some fuel as you open the throttle.
