    Nvsram

Eaglemark, i saw on the delcohacking forum that u had spoke with antus/vl400 about the nvsram module. Has anything come of that? Im interested in trying one out and the thread has gone silent on their end. Thanks in advance.

Not that I know of? Ask them, they are all friendly over there.

There is a NVSRAM available from Moates for the 1227730. Would be a cool kit if redesigned for the 16197427 PCM.

what Moates sells(the montecarslow kit), AFAIK, the NVRAM occupies a pretty small section of the memory map(4K IIRC), the calibration portion of the PROM has a lot of its values copied into it(and the algorithm reads from there instead of the normal location on the PROM) and then modified ALDL mode 4 commands are used to change the values in the NVRAM.

what the delcohacking guys did..... was replace the entire PROM with NVRAM. calibration, algorithm, everything. they update it over ALDL still, but via custom modes(11 and 12, i think).

considering the 7427 already runs on a 64KB calibration, there really isn't anywhere open in the memory map to go the 4K route.... would have to stick the entire BIN onto the NVRAM.
