eagle mark a man gave me a 1996 chevy 1500 it has a bad engine v6. I was wondering about putting a obd1 pcm in it to where I could tune it. I remember you doing a 98 model would this be the same change over? I was wondering if so I may fix it if not I will part it out. it has an auto trans.
I don't think the 96 is a TBI motor? Is it? If it's CPI then I'd have no idea what OBDI ECM to try and swap.
I changed my 98 black box PCM for a 2002 LS1 PCM.

it is a cpi, ihave read so many threads I have things mixed up I was thinking you put a 0411 or something like it in your truck. thanks for the info.
Yes I did, 12200411 is a LSx PCM from like 2000 to 2007.
