Ok so latest thought is, 2x4 mainfold, couple of modified holley 600's(finally found a use for them), port injected big block FrankenBuick.
edit: what about just using the carb base plates? Mayby build a set of "stacks" to smooth airflow instead of cobbled up carbs. Still thinking ;)

You know, that would be funny looking seeing 2 carbs (complete) with MPFI!
Go for a really old school carb look and plumb the injectors underneath the intake... like we used to hide the Nitrous injectors underneath, hidden.
