    nice trick!
Hadn't had any issues with it? When goes PE it goes OL, so I tried it and Poof, OL Idle, guess something else has to enable to go PE like an RPM setting? Was a long time ago and I wrote some notes on cheats with $EE because of all missing stuff and what guys had done over the years.

Best one most cars have is the split BLM at idle and half a turn either way on throttle blade setting get's it closer, as you turn in and out you can see the split change side to side and get the mioddle! Then the infared heat gun temps on each header tube and adjust idle fuel per cylinder so they all match. Trick to that is start after a drive and then let idle and adjust. Poof no more split BLMs. But that won't be an issue with OL Idle... hope it still works as I have no other notes as to something else that needs done...

I know how to do per-cyl balance but damn bud lets see those notes! I'm planning on making an advanced EE tuning site sometime they might really help

There's nothing left that I had not already added to the $EE you started with and then this OL Idle thing and it's been so long I hope my notes were right. I got no secrets...

Every time I tune a different mask in person I try things and make notes if I can verify they are correct then add them to the XDF. If you want to see the most complete descriptions of most parameters look over my $42, most of it transfers to other masks.

Remember to do the Low Cool parameter as well or it may be CL when cold.

Since your working on the $EE XDF I thought I'd give you this one. It has a combined MAF table so in 2D view you can see all the MAF tables and make sure you have smooth transitions. I'm not sure if it had it in the one I was working on, which IIRC you started with. It had lots of descriptions already done as well. The last one I saw you worked on was sweet improvements!

I was up to version 3.6 so I added that as well.

my maf table def is all one table, I had the same idea, but; unfortunately tunerpro wont zoom in a 2d graph...? so its useless without a monster monitor..

have suggested zoom on the tp forum

i have to report back and say that this PE trick was sketchy in my case. i dialed in correct target AFRs by using both the rpm and coolant table. the first few runs were great, right from cold start on a freezing cold day to hot idle, with no drivability problems and some good clean datalogs, and i got the target AFR i wanted. of course i also patched in the blm locker.

it started misbehaving, though. on a cold morning, it would start perfectly, then immediately surge a few times and die.

i waited a while, tried to start it again, and it was good to go.

    then it happened again.

i've gone back to CL idle and nothing has happened since, so i don't think it's a mechanical issue.

weird stuff, but i'd hold off if anyone wants to try it until i investigate more.

i will look into 'why' when i get another spare PCM, i think im running on borrowed time on this one, since i'm thousands of flashes in.... i dont want my daily driver to fail a flash without a backup.

Maybe a little more air over throttle blades to lesson IAC counts?
