I posted this here Mark or stand in admin so i can attach the screen shot. I did see a couple other guys had same issue as i talked about as not being able to download the .cal file and it being a php file. I scanned my pc and it was all good using trend micro. In screen shot click on the second link in google of the forum on two different computer two different locations virus blocker alert on it and changes the web url. If someone else wants to try the same deal in the screen shot clicking on second link down and see if they got the same alert.

    No issues here?

The URL http://www.gearhead-efi.com/ goes to a home page.

The URL http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Injection/forum.php is the main forum page.

I think some issues from over protective virus software is the names added in this forum at end of URL. Look at URL of this page, it ends in /showthread.php?2694

But for search engines it adds name of the thread "-website-issue"

I don't believe this is a website issue. Several months ago some hackers attacked gearhead and managed to redirect the URL http://www.gearhead-efi.com/ to a different site. Mark fixed it and all is well. But for some reason, google is not connecting to gearhead when you click on that link. The first time I tried it I was directed to the hacker's site from the redirect. The hacker's site isn't active so no worries there. Now when I try it I go through a series of redirects and end up on yahoo. This may be a DNS issue, or something with Google not updating link information. But you can tell there's nothing wrong with gearhead-efi by entering that link directly into the browser (or possibly by clicking on the link in this thread). Small detail: The only link that seems redirected in google is gearhead-efi.com/ with a forward slash at the end.

Edit: I placed a request with Google to remove their URL for the offending site. It seems to be working correctly for me, now.

Windows 7 my not allow the download if it doesn't recognize the extension. Is it all files from gearhead when running windows 7 or just .cal?

I guess explorer had a new security deal update a few weeks ago don't know if that was it but I went to tools in internet explorer and added efigearhead to my compatibility mode list and all works well now

There's still a problem. I've actually followed the link through google to the redirect page and gotten the next link. Google says they just refreshed their information on the 1/5 so maybe there's something left on gearhead. Guess I've got some learning to do.

I also get an "invalid redirect" when I log in from work. I'll play with it if I have time.

Your persistence to tell me something was wrong and I had not checked properly. I've forgotten a webmaster rule of checking things on all browsers. So with Chrome it did not show up, you mentioned IE and I went Ah $hit!

When we got hacked on the home page awhile back... (home page is a differant program then the forums vBulliten) that had a security hole. I fixed it all but left an old index.php file. If you just call a URL from your browser like www.gearhead-efi.com it will show the index.html/php/etc... ot you could call for www.gearhead-efi.com/index.xxx it will show the same file.

There was a hidden re-direct in the index.php file I missed. I had replaced the whole package of files and updated to newer version but since I had some custom work done on index.php I just checked it... but not thoroughly...

Since it was not to long ago it was fresh in my fuzzy mind so figured I would look to save 1project2many all the time of catching up. Only took about 10 minutes...
