    Is the torque converter clutch still coming on after the speedo dies?
    If not you need to verify the vss signal is getting to the DRAC from the sensor using a DVOM is fine set to AC volts. Voltage should increase from 0vAC to ~100vAC.

    If the TCC is working then the DRAC is fine and you just have a instrument(speedo) issue.

    If the DRAC is failing, get the 3 digit code from the DRAC itself, it will be something like QWB, PLK, etc in big bold black letters on a sticker attached the the DRAC.

    Check these things and report back.

    interested in a DRAC, regardless of the source. i'll be modifying it for DIP switches anyways, so exact unit really wouldn't matter.

    is there a reason to choose between the early and late unit?
