Speedometer Calibration '0411 PCM using Dakota Digital SEN-01-1?

I'm needing help with the speedometer calibration, '0411 PCM using a Dakota Digital 8K pulse Generator SEN-01-1. http://www.dakotadigital.com/index.c...109/prd109.htm

The attached screen shot shows what I think is the correct driveshaft revolutions to achieve 8000 Pulses Per Mile in the speedometer calibration. Am I thinking correctly? Is there something else I should change in the speedometer calibration to use the Dakota Digital 8K pulse Generator SEN-01-1?

Appears to be correct working backwards through it, you know the speedo gear ratio in the trans?

The trans is a 700R4 with a cable driven speedometer. The dash speedometer seems accurate vs. GPS (smart phone app).

I asked because, 40 ppr stock reluctor down to 8 ppr DD reluctor, but because the DD goes on speedo output we have to account for that gear reduction. You have with the 2.7437, was just going to do the math to see. As your not using it to control a transmission, its not as critical for all the math to be right. With what you have done, just go for a drive with the gps. Do 60 mph by scanner and see what gps shows. If its out just use this: GPS indicated speed/pcm scanner speed=error ratio X vss pulses per mile.
As long as the speedo gear drive reduction is 2.91 then everything you have done is correct.

Thanks for the help. I'll verify with GPS.
